Wendy Gutterson, M.S.

Principal Consultant

As President of Physician Management Resources, Wendy Gutterson brings more than 20 years of practice leadership to medical offices all over the country. She has worked in solo physician offices and as well as multi-site, multi-specialty practices with more than 100 providers. A natural problem solver, Wendy is dedicated to operational excellence.

 

Wendy’s financial and operational know-how springs from nearly three decades of practice leadership experience. Prior to launching Physician Management Resources, Wendy worked in large and small physician practices, as well as academic departments at Tufts Medical Center, Lahey Clinic, Cambridge Health Alliance and Hebrew SeniorLife.

 

A frequent speaker on management topics, Wendy serves on faculty of the Harvard Medical School Women's Leadership Conference, where she offers a finance workshop for physician leaders.  Wendy is also a chapter leader of Believe Inspire Grow a women's empowerment and networking organization.

 

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Wendy holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a graduate degree in health care administration from Simmons College, Boston where she is an honorary trustee and member of the Dean’s Advisory Council.

Remi is a detail-oriented team player. She has served in high-level support roles for executives in the legal, security and technology fields. Remi’s experience in these support roles allows her to bring an advanced level of organizational and communication skills, as well as a professional drive for excellence, to all she does.

 

Remi grew up in Brooklyn, NY and has lived in Massachusetts for 20 years. She is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Vassar College and holds a Master’s degree from the University of London. She is a WNBF Bodybuilding Pro. In her free time, she enjoys strength training, spin classes, baking and fun family adventures with her husband and 3 teenagers.

Remi Dansinger, M.A.

Administrative Manager

Fiona Ineson is a health care professional with experience in various avenues of the healthcare industry. She started her career more than 20 years ago as a Nurse Assistant while obtaining her nursing degree from Griffith University- Queensland, Australia. Although her career was mostly served as a surgical nurse in Australia, Fiona has clinical experience in a variety of medical and surgical specialties. Upon relocating to the USA, Fiona gained valuable insight into the American healthcare system by working in academic medicine in California.

 

Fiona left nursing to spend more time with her young family but has continued to stay involved in the health industry by working as a medical administrator. Fiona’s extensive administrative knowledge base, hands on clinical, eye for detail, and her persistence make her a successful credentialing manager.

Credentialing Services Manager

Nikki has worked in the financial arena for over 20 years, in both corporate and non-profit sectors. She is Quickbooks Certified and has passed the National Certification Exam on Medical Billing and Coding. Nikki enjoys working with clients to help them grow their businesses and looks forward to bringing her enthusiasm and expertise to each practice we serve.

 

When not at work, Nikki enjoys spending time with her family, both exploring Massachusetts as well as traveling to other fun destinations. She also keeps busy with various volunteer and community service activities and can often be found poolside, cheering on her children’s swim team!

Sharon Witham, M.Ed.

Human Resources Specialist

Sharon’s background includes more than twenty years of human resources management and consulting experience. Prior to joining Physician Management Resources, Sharon provided executive-level consulting services to a broad range of clients in both for-profit and non-profit organizations including the Whitehead Institute, Kimberly Quality Care, Beverly Medical Associates, Travcorps, Epix Medical, Inc., and the Maine Health Access Foundation.

Sharon works with each client to define a unique human resources strategy.  Areas of expertise include compensation and benefits design, change management, program and policy development, employee coaching, recruitment, and staffing. Prior to her Human Resources professional experience, Sharon worked for several years in healthcare, human services, and higher education environments as an instructor, trainer, program manager and counselor. In addition, she had an independent practice as a psychotherapist, with a focus on career counseling and psycho-diagnostic testing and analysis.

Sharon holds a B.S. degree in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts, and a M.Ed. degree in Counseling and Consulting Psychology from Harvard University. She has earned the certification of Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) from the Society for Human Resources Management.

With over 10 years of experience working as a Consultant for CPT, HCC and ICD-10 in the area of Medical Chart Auditing and Education, Lauren has experience with both commercial and community health centers in New England. She is CPC and PCA certified and has worked in the fields of Primary Care, Pediatrics, Behavioral Health, Podiatry, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Physiatry, Nursing Home, Nutrition and OBGYN. Lauren is also the Chief Operations Officer for a jointly owned medical scribe company, Scribe Partners, Inc. She is proud to bring a wealth of medical administrative knowledge and an eye for the precision required to document, code and chart the medical experience to her role of Coding Specialist.

 

Lauren has a cocker spaniel named Butters that she adores and, in her free time, likes to read, travel and exercise.

Deborah Wessell

Revenue Cycle Specialist

A 40 year veteran of the healthcare industry, Deborah began her career as a Medical Assistant at the University Hospital in Boston, MA.  When computer technology made its way into that medical practice, Deborah found her true calling.  She pivoted towards the technology arena and worked for many years at a software company in the role of Trainer and Implementation Specialist.  In time, she was able to combine her love of technology with her foundation in the medical field by specializing in medical billing and revenue cycle management.  For the last 20 years, Deborah worked for a medical practice management software company, first, providing training and then support services, before moving to the Clearing House for Medical Claims and Electronic Payments. Here, she partnered with clients to implement their software and train them on how to use it effectively to boost revenue. With her years of experience, attention to detail and a passion for customer service in this specialized field of practice management, Deborah is dedicated to improving revenue for our providers.

 

Deborah shares her home with two wonderful, much-adored cats and enjoys being surrounded by nature. She can often be found gardening, relaxing on the beach or going for long walks in the woods near her home.

Maxine Whittaker

Revenue Cycle Specialist

Maxine brings over a decade of experience in practice management, claims coding, and higher education instruction in billing, making her an asset to the physicians and practices she serves. In addition to her military background, Maxine also has sat on the university boards of Lincoln and Sanford Brown as well as has been a trusted advisor to the Program Chair, Academic Dean and the instructional design team of Javelin Learning Systems on billing and coding best practices for student curriculum.

 

Maxine strives to provide responsive assistance and support to patients, insurers and physicians who are navigating the claims processing and payment process. With her advanced training and certification in medical insurance coding for the ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 classifications, Maxine is known for her sound judgment when authorizing, denying, or re-routing high volumes of claims. She is also a Registered Health Care Educator, Certified American Red Cross Instructor and a Certified Medical Assistant.

 

When Maxine isn’t working, she is a talented chef who also enjoys spending time with her two beautiful grandchildren.

Robin is a graduate of The Rhode Island School of Design and offers over15 years of experience in print design, web design, and marketing.  Her focus is on clear communication and visual solutions that are unique, refreshing and memorable in the marketplace.  She specializes in effective user experience and brand development.  Robin works with all size companies from universities and financial institutions to medical practices, retailers and start-ups. 

When she is not designing, she enjoys yoga, cooking, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

Robin Zucker

Design and Marketing Specialist

Jane is a writer skilled in communicating her clients' purpose, voice, and key message in words that are informative and compelling. As a thoughtful collaborator, part of every project is helping clients understand and convey what matters to them and their businesses.

 

She is also an educator and has taught writing and presentation skills at Wheelock (now part of Boston University), Simmons College, and M.I.T. Jane currently works with PhD students and faculty in Northeastern University’s Computer Science program on professional communication skills.  As a marketing and development writer, Jane has tackled communication projects for Root Capital, Story builders, Involution Studios, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and PMR.

 

A graduate of both Wellesley College and Simmons University, Jane is an essayist and publishes her own blog, Leaf Stitch Word, discussing her interests in teaching, writing, gardening, and other concerns.

Lisa is an experienced revenue operations manager with over 20 years of accounting experience. She brings to our clients a demonstrated history of working in the hospital and healthcare industry.  Skilled in Revenue Recognition, Microsoft Office, Cash Operations, Workbench and Customer Service, Lisa is a strong finance professional who is also a certified CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative). A graduate of Plymouth State College, Lisa is a Certified EPIC user. She holds an MBA, with special certification in Health Informatics.

 

In her free time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family. They enjoy gatherings at the beach as well as cruising together. Lisa is an avid fitness enthusiast and a blood donor.
